Specificity The antibody EM-07 reacts with Fc part of human IgG heavy chain and with isolated Fc fragments.
Characteristics The purified antibody is conjugated with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) under optimum conditions. The reagent is free of unconjugated FITC.
Background Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a 150 kDa soluble protein that serves as a major effector molecule of the humoral immune response in man. Its concentration in blood plasma of healthy individuals is approximately 10 g/l, which accounts for about 75 % of the total plasma immunoglobulins. IgG has the highest stability of blood immunoglobulins (T1/2 = 21 days) and is able of placental transfer. IgG is secreted by plasma cells at a comparably high rate as other immunoglobulins.

Buffer The reagent is provided in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide and 0.2 % (w/v) high-grade protease free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a stabilizing agent.

Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. Storage Comment Store in the dark at 2-8 °C. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label. Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent.
